Looking at Yesterday

Yesterday was the season opener for both baseball and softball, as they both hosted Ashland. Softball cruised to a 5-1 win, behind a strong pitching performance by Jackie Flint. Baseball also topped the Clockers. After a slow start and Medfield clinging to a 1-0 lead, the Warriors broke open the game in the 6th inning, scoring four runs to give us a 5-0 final. Track also had its season debut race yesterday afternoon. The boys edged Westwood by the narrowest of margins, 68-67. The girls, though, did not fare so well, as they fell 83-53 to the Wolverines.

Volleyball had a rough go of things, as Millis upended the Warriors three games to none at home.

Girls and boys tennis both also faced Ashland yesterday and both picked up wins. This girls rolled to a 4-1 win at Ashland and the boys (by the same score) knocked off the Clockers at home.
